A Jordanian medical team performed a rare surgery at New Salt Hospital for a patient suffering from cholecystitis with Kartagener's Syndrome.

The syndrome is a rare, autosomal recessive genetic ciliary disorder comprising the triad of situs inversus, chronic sinusitis, and bronchiectasis, and it leads to recurrent chest infections, ear/nose/throat symptoms, and infertility.

The patient was admitted to the ER in Salt Hospital after being diagnosed with a case of acute inflammation of the gallbladder, despite experiencing pain in a place other than the usual, caused by a complete visceral reversal in the patient.

The operation team performed the operation in the opposite manner in an exceptional way.

The medical team confirmed that the operation was successful, and that the patient was discharged from the hospital in good condition.
